Privacy Policy

Who we are

ClimAite is a green AI assistant built to reduce the environmental footprint of everyday AI use. We are operated by Anders Staal. You can reach us at hello@climaite.green.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the service:

• Email address — if you sign in with Google, we store your email to link your usage statistics.
• Usage statistics — total prompts sent, estimated CO₂ and water saved. No message content is stored against your account.
• Conversation summaries — after a session, an anonymised summary of key topics (not your exact words) may be stored to improve ClimAite's knowledge base. This contains no personally identifiable information.
• Feedback ratings — if you press 👍 or 👎, the message and rating are stored to improve response quality.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not store full conversation logs linked to your identity.
• We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

Where data is stored

All data is stored in Supabase on EU-based infrastructure (AWS eu-west region). AI inference runs on Cloudflare Workers AI using EU data centres (including Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands), covered by 100% renewable energy certificates.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data under legitimate interest (improving the service) and consent (by signing in with Google, you agree to this policy). You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Object to processing of your data

Cookies

ClimAite uses only a session cookie set by Supabase for authentication. We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ClimAite after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
